Online Applications and Services
Resident and non-resident individuals and entities may submit initial and renewal applications for all license and registration types online via the National Insurance Producer Registry (NIPR) at www.nipr.com. Applicants also may:
- Upload additional documents to NIPR's Attachment Warehouse.
- Check the Status of an application submitted via NIPR.
- Report actions against existing licenses and registrations using NIPR's Reporting of Actions tool.
- Submit Address Change Requests. (Note: Address changes that result in a residency type change may not be submitted using this tool.)
Licensees and registrants may view existing license data using the Licensee Look-Up tool or may Print License Copies via the State Based Systems at www.statebasedsystems.com.

PROMETRIC is the Maryland Insurance Administration's vendor for continuing education services. For information regarding course offerings or to view your CE transcript, visit www.prometric.com or call 1-800-324-4592 *If you are attempting to renew a resident producer license, please note that course providers have 30 days to report your successful completion of a course to Prometric. If you have taken a course that has not yet been "banked," mail your application and renewal fee directly to the Maryland Insurance Administration prior to your license expiration date to avoid paying the additional $100 reinstatement fee. |
