Maryland Health Insurance Plan

The Maryland Health Insurance Plan is a state administered health insurance program for Maryland residents who do not have access to health insurance. The Maryland General Assembly established the Maryland Health Insurance Plan under the Health Insurance Safety Net Act of 2002. A Board of Directors governs the plan, which operates as an independent unit of the State government.
