Associate Commissioner Insurance Fraud Division
Carolyn Henneman has been the Associate Commissioner for Maryland Insurance Administration Fraud Division since August 2008. The Fraud Division is the statewide office which investigates insurance fraud and regulates the anti-fraud efforts of insurance companies licensed by the State of Maryland.
Henneman came to the Division after a 30-plus year career investigating and prosecuting financial crimes at the state, federal and international level. Just prior to her appointment as an Associate Commissioner, she served as an International War Crimes Prosecutor for the United Nations in Kosovo. Prior to that she served as the Chief of the Criminal Investigations Division of the Maryland Attorney General's Office.
She is a graduate of New York University School of Law and Oberlin College and is a member of the Maryland State, the U.S. District Court of Maryland and the U.S. Supreme Court bars.
